Who We Are
Our firm's strength lies in the unique relationships we’ve developed during the past two decades, our understanding of communicating in developed and emerging markets, and extensive international experience resolving challenges and fulfilling needs.
Crescent Consultant's founder, Joel Frushone, has 20+ years in U.S. and global government communications and message and policy development. Joel works closely with foreign governments at all levels, public and private enterprises, development agencies, United Nations (UN) agencies, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) and the media throughout the developing world.
Our firm’s track record of success designing and implementing strategic communications and media campaigns, utilising traditional media, new media and local methods of communicating for foreign governments, private and public corporations, the UN, development agencies and institutions, global foundations, NGO and others speaks for itself.
Our on-the-ground experience ensures that our client’s voices are heard and that they are able to operate efficiently and effectively amidst immense and complex bureaucracies in foreign and high-risk countries.

Marie Omba DjungaMarie Omba Djunga is the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) liaison for Crescent Consultants.
Educated in the DRC, Belgium, and Italy, and fluent in French, Italian, English, and Lingala, Marie is a public relations and event management specialist.
Marie began her career in fashion design and event management in Europe, working in fashion houses in Milan, Bern, and Brussels, from 1991 to 1995. Upon returning in 1995 to the DRC, where she was born and lived until 1972, Marie opened Negropolis, her own design studio and boutique in Kinshasa, the capital of the DRC.
She specifically chose "negro," which means black in Spanish, to emphasize its positive meaning and cast out the negative connotations it bears, and "polis," which means city in Greek, marrying her ethnic roots and urban European education. Marie simultaneously started MOOD a public relations and event management firm.
For the past 15 years, Marie has been assisting national and international clients seeking to work and working in various sectors in the DRC and Southern Africa. She specializes in governmental and business relations and has organized visits to and throughout the DRC for high-level delegations, including for the Lake Tanganyika Floating Health Clinic (LTFHC).
Marie played an instrumental role in the image campaign Crescent Consultants designed and implemented for the Office of President Joseph Kabila.
Marie lives in Kinshasa.
